- 9/6/2006 - From www.alexandriagazette.com; (The Loudoun Connection) PULTE HOMES submitted a letter to the Board of Supervisors through its lawyer, Michael Banzhaf, to withdraw its application for Braddock South Village. The board voted unanimously to accept the developer's withdrawal. Braddock South Village would have rezoned 731 acres and allowed for the development of 1,500 residential houses. Pulte withdrew its application, Banzhaf said, because it could not afford the upfront costs the county wanted to see. Banzhaf said Pulte would have been required to put up around $7.5 million for things like road improvements, but there was no guarantee they would be able to make up that money.

- 8/30/2006 - Loudoun's Planning Commission voted 6 to 2 to forward the Dulles South proposal to the Board of Supervisors. The panel did so after hearing from about 90 speakers, two-thirds of them in favor of opening Dulles South to development.
